More about this tour
Admire one of Morocco’s natural wonders on this day tour to the Ouzoud Falls from Marrakech. The Ouzoud Waterfalls is the second tallest waterfall in Africa. It’s a huge touristic destination and one of the most visited and photographed natural sites in Morocco!
An amazing day tour from Marrakech to Ouzoud Waterfall will start at 9:00 in the morning. Our professional multilingual driver with pick you up at your Hotel / Riad with our luxurious cars.
Ouzoud Waterfall which is located about 100 miles northeast of Marrakech, empty into the El-Abid River gorge. The name of the falls actually derives from the Berber culture meaning “the act of grinding grain. You can walk around the falls, while enjoying the sights and sounds of the falls’ permanent residents – a troop of macaque monkeys.
The Ouzoud cascades can be visited the whole year-round. It’s much busier during summer but that’s the best time of the year to go if you want to swim in the pools at the bottom of the falls. There is more water during winter and usually a lot fewer tourists, so if you don’t mind that it’s too cold to swim, winter is probably the best time to visit the Ouzoud waterfalls.
Keep an eye out for apes coming to drink from the river, and have your camera ready to capture the cataracts and rainbows that can appear near the bottom of the waterfalls. Because of its location, there are incredible rainbows that you can observe along the path that leads right at the base of the canyon in the afternoon. For the more daredevils who want to take a stroll, you can follow the paths along the canyon lakes and reach the Berber village of Tanaghmelt.
At the late afternoon, we will drive you back to Marrakech.
